Far East 3000 Chinese Characters

This CDROM title is a practical and systematic self-study course for all levels in learning Chinese characters.  The 3,000 characters included are based on a study published by the Ministry of Education in 1997.  Each character flashcard contains traditional form, simplified form, Hanyu Pinyinm Zhuyin Fuhao, strokes, animated stroke sequence, radical, English meaning, phrases and sentences.  If one knows these history of characters, one will be able to recognize 99 percent of all Chinese characters published in various media.  In addition, the CDROM includes such special features as history of characters, stroke order, character components, plentiful exercises, and lots more.  The program is designed to improve the learner's reading ability and quickly build up phrases, idioms, and sentences using the 3,000 characters.
